Easy Easter Recipe – Hot Ham & Cheese Pinwheels

 

Easter is just a few days a way and so is all of the good food that goes with it. I prepared this same dish for the super bowl but never got around to actually writing it down. So I thought this would be the perfect time to show you the recipe. You can use it as a appetizer or pair it with your favorite sides.



Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Coat a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Unroll pizza dough onto a cutting board then add ham and cheese.

Starting on the longer side of your crust, roll up the edge tightly. When reaching the end pinch the seam together and flip your roll over so the seam is face down.

Cut 1 1/2 inch slices and arrange them in a casserole dish.

Combine all of the glaze ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat. Whisk until butter is melted and the glaze is smooth.

Lightly pour or brush glaze over the pinwheels. If you pour too much they will soak the bottom too much and will not cook right.

You can cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours or bake them uncovered for 25 minutes or until golden and browned.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury refrigerated thin classic pizza crust
  • 3/4lb honey ham
  • 9-12 slices Swiss cheese

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
