Mikasa Beauty Review

About a month ago, Mikasa Beauty reached out to me about trying their brushes. Being that I am a makeup artist I always am looking for the best of the best for my kit. Since we are on a bit of a budget due to Waylon’s birthday party, I chose only to buy one brush. However, this was not just any brush but the O6 Oval Brush. I have seen many beauty gurus use similar brushes in their tutorials so this one stood out to me. I literally have nothing like it in my personal collection. With my order I received their beauty sponge for free.

After finalizing my purchase, it was about seven days before I received my package. I decided to try out the O6 brush with my all time favorite foundation – Boots No7 Stay Perfect. The brush is a bit dense so I had to apply more product in order for everything to blend. It took some time but left a pretty finish to the skin. If I had to rate it on a scale of 1-10 I would rate it as a six. I say this because it took me much longer to apply my foundation. After, I dampened my sponge and began to use it for my concealer. Talk about impressive y’all! I LOVE the beauty sponge! I have a Beauty Blender in my kit and use the Real Techniques brush on myself but this is a close tie. The sponge is a ten in my book.

I won’t lie when I say I was pretty skeptical about my purchase. However, I am so glad I decided to try this company out. There will always be hits and misses within a brand or company. Not everything can be perfect. Yet, the one item I was most skeptical about is the one I fell in love with the most. Hope you guys enjoyed this review! 1. Great post, I clearly need lessons on makeup applications, you might cringe if you saw how I apply foundation. Thanks for giving me somethings to look into trying

    • I was horrible at first but its about taking time. Plus, so many people have different techniques. You may learn to do something completely different than the way I do. If you ever need any tips let me know 🙂
